Greene Street Produces COVID-19 PSAs for the Virginia Department of Health

10-day shoot spanned the Commonwealth of Virginia

In August, Greene Street Communications embarked on a 10-day video shoot spanning the Commonwealth of Virginia. This project was designed for the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) as part of Greene Street’s efforts to aid in combatting COVID-19 vaccine misinformation and to encourage Virginians to get vaccinated. Our team spent July preparing for the shoot, including writing three, 30 second television PSA scripts focusing on Virginia’s vast interfaith communities, and four Q&A-style scripts designed to feature Virginia doctors answering common COVID-19 vaccine questions. The four videos featuring Virginia physicians were an extension of Greene Street’s widely popular “Vaccination MythBusters” campaign titled, “MythBusters: Ask the Experts.”

Greene Street shot scenes in Abingdon, Arlington, Bristol, Lynchburg, Norfolk, Raphine, Richmond, Sterling, and Williamsburg as a part of the project. At the center of the interfaith PSAs was the messaging of choosing faith over fear, helping your neighbor, reuniting with family, and the vaccines as ‘our shot’ to return to normalcy.
